We are a social impact cooperative with very clear ideas, suppliers of Mexican specialty coffee in Barcelona, ​​Catalonia. We are proud to be ambassadors of Mexican coffee in Spain and Europe, offering our public a unique, artisanal, good quality coffee at a fair price for everyone. Always respecting Mother Earth from the origin, fair trade, respect for the coffee grower, and the marketing of their coffee. We work with ethics, responsibility and awareness for sustainably and organically grown coffees from small producers.

Our history and trajectory

La Chiapaneca was born in the midst of the pandemic as a Catalan cooperative in 2019 by two entrepreneurs due to a need in the Spanish market to offer good Mexican coffees and to teach the end consumer the great importance of good Mexican coffee in Spain. A coffee that is still unknown to many but for others a great favorite for its quality and flavor in the mouth.

The beginning of our adventure as a new specialty coffee supplier was hard but not impossible to position the brand in Spain and Europe. From the second year in 2020 until today 2025, we have positioned our coffees in different European markets.

After six years of experience in the world of specialty coffee, with a more solid team, we know the importance of offering a unique experience in every cup. Traceability is therefore very important for us, being as transparent as possible with our clients from the selection of the coffee to the final consumer, traceability is valued by providing good service and quality at every stage of the process.

We are strategically located eight minutes walk from the Mexican consulate and well connected by bus and train.
